TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK:
Size 2600 sq km
Location 118 km south west of Arusha
Tarangire national park has some of the highest population density of elephant any where in Tanzania, its sparse vegetation strewn with acacia and thousand of baobab trees. It makes it a beautiful location for natural lover with concentration of wild life. Tarangire is a popular stop for adventure through the northern circuit on their way to ngorongoro and Serengeti.
During the dry season hundred of elephant are play around the ancient trunk of baobab and strip acacia bark from the thorn trees for their afternoon meal.
While migratory wildebeest Zebra, buffalo, impala gazelle, hartebeest and eland ground the shirking lagoon. There are almost 550 bird variety can be observed such as stoking sighed ostrich, the worlds largest bird ,ground horn bill ,kori bustard etc. Don’t forget Python climb tree, as do it lion and leopard.
