SAFARI BLUE
This is a memorable day-long sea outing trip. It starts with a drive to Fumba fishing village on the south west coast to board local dhows. The voyage first circles within the precincts of Menai-bay conservation site. This excursion is perfect for photography due to a sight of schools of dolphins, the colorful crystal waters and the wonderful coral reefs. There are exclusively selected sites known for their attractive undersea gardens, the best for snorkelers. For beginners who might lay by the banks undecided, trained dhow crew members are always available to assist them in using any gear so their outing would as well be enjoyable like anyone else’s.
Sea food lunch is served at the Kwale islet reachable after a short dhow cruise. The meal is mainly a barbecue buffet consisting of calamari, slipper lobsters and chicken. A selection of varieties of cold refreshments ranging from soft drinks (and coconut juice too) to Amarula liquor in coffee are at anybody’s reach. There is a collection of about fifteen different fruit varieties specially presented for visitors to distinguish their varying tastes. As a fun part, visitors are to be challenged to put their strengths and agility by climbing up an old baobab tree (approximately 500 years old). Swimming in the lagoon is the final day activity before sailing back ashore to Fumba.
