Karamba is located in the village of Kizimkazi Dimbani on the southwest coast of Zanzibar.
Managed by the lovely Gemma Crespi from Spain, this place started life as a simple beach guesthouse and has been gradually developing into a higher quality lodge. The simple main building is set up on rocks at the north end of the village beach, with rooms arranged along the top of the coral cliff beyond, where there is also a yoga area and nice pool. The rooms start out quite basic, but get larger and more comfortable towards the far end.
The village itself is one of the nicest in Zanzibar, a real pleasure to explore, whilst boat trips out to the islands offer opportunities for snorkelling, diving, dolphin and whale watching
