DOLPHIN TOUR
It’s a half-day trip to Kizimkazi fishing village in the south. At the water front, well-equipped wooden boats are on the ready for boarding to cruise farther southwards to spot schools of dolphins. Marine biologists have recorded the existence of two distinctive dolphin species in the area namely the Humpback (white dolphins) and bottled nose ones.
Repeated human visits have nurtured the dolphins to have easily co-existed with swimmers. They have exhibited a friendly behavior proving their love being at such company within their natural habitat. The adventure offers an unprecedented opportunity for photographers so we advise them to have their equipments closely handy.
There is a stop at a certain reef popular for its attractive undersea gardens and corals full of colored fishes. It’s an area selected for snorkeling before returning to the shore. Apart from other personal items, a visitor is advised to take a towel and a swimming wear. In case one has sensitively sore feet, it’s better to have light rubber sandals as, upon boarding, we will have to wade through shallow water.
