Breezes Beach Club and Spa is located north of the village of Bwejuu on the southeast coast of Zanzibar.
This five star resort caters mainly to the upper-middle European market and is unusually pleasant and sympathetically designed.
Despite being extensive, public areas manage to retain a good deal of intimacy, in contrast with the stark and cavernous spaces in other lesser resorts. In addition to the main restaurant and bar, there is a handful of other dining options from poolside snacks to fine dining experiences.
The 70 rooms are in arranged in ten two storey blocks, with a further 10 standard rooms behind.
Activities include gym, tennis, diving, snorkelling and kitesurfing, as well as an impressive spa.
Breezes Beach Club and Spa is certainly one of the best of its type on the island. It is privately owned and the staff really are exceptional, leading to consistently good guest.
